Mango habanero sauce3/25/2023 That’s not to say that the recipe wouldn’t be delicious, it might be the best thing I’ve ever eaten, but I’m sort of lazy about certain things. I know that no one likes to go shopping for 50 ingredients and if I see a recipe is using a slew of them I usually skip over it. If you’ve been following along on the blog for a while, you know that I generally try to share recipes that don’t use tons of ingredients. Then I used my super hot habanero peppers to make this recipe, which is a habanero mango sauce. These recipes were so tasty and had a perfect balance of acidity and spiciness. My solution was to use all the peppers I have been harvesting over the past two weeks and make each one into a different recipe! For instance, I made plenty of pickled chilies with banana peppers and sliced jalapeno. While these are great uses for my peppers, I still think I grew too many. Sometimes if I feel like adding a bit of heat to my tabbouleh salad, I can also chop up some chili peppers and throw them in. I also usually cook with a lot of peppers and even add some to my amazing foul recipe. So, this weekend, I decided to use them all in different recipes! Over the past two weeks of harvesting in my garden, I have collected plenty of produce, including Jalapeno serrano, Anaheim banana peppers, habanero, tabasco chili, and red chilies! The habanero peppers are incredibly hot!Īt first, it seemed like a good idea to grow so many peppers since they are versatile chilis that can be used in both sweet and hot sauces, depending on what I decide to make. I may have gone a bit overboard this season and grown too many peppers.
